The Industrial Stroll

A 3.5 km educational trail, the Industrial Walk takes you on a tour of 18 buildings that are emblematic of Sainte-Croix’s history.

Introduction

Sainte-Croix has a unique industrial heritage, shaped by generations of workers, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. The town’s urban planning has been recognized as being of national importance by the Inventory of Swiss Built Sites (ISOS). Visitors are invited to discover the emblematic sites of this remarkable past through a stroll made up of several points of interest. Factories, workshops, public buildings or private homes: each bears the traces of a precious know-how, intimately linked to the economic, social and cultural evolution of the region.

This tour is an invitation to take a fresh look at the urban landscape and reconnect with the collective memory of Sainte-Croix.
