Come discover “L’Atelier,” the first issue in the “Secret Notebooks” series
the “secret notebooks”
This collection invites readers of all ages to (re)immerse themselves in familiar or mysterious places through written and photographic depictions of smells, sounds, textures, memories, and atmospheres. These books aim to build bridges between generations so that we can share real and imagined experiences together.
the workshop
This sketchbook is both a personal account and a moving tribute to the workshop of Sylvie Margot’s father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Her images freeze time and preserve the traces of a place that symbolizes mechanical craftsmanship in the Jura region. As soon as she arrived in Sainte-Croix, Séverine Gueissaz had the good fortune to discover the workshops of the artisans of mechanical art. Fascinated by these places and their atmospheres, she attempts, through her words, to convey their sounds and smells.
